[edit] Installation Steps

Step 1. Before you Install

  • Map to the network drive or check out the media from the Wendt Library, circulation desk.
  • Authorize your computer to use tethered software. Use your CAE username and password to gain access to CAE tethered licensing. Each authorization has a duration of 12 hours.

Step 2. Start the installer (The installer is located under the Cadence folder.)

Step 3. Licensing the server is: fireball.cae.wisc.edu through port# 1707

Step 4. Installing make sure that your virus protection software is off

Step 5. components select the components you wish to install

Step 6. Restart

Note: In order for tethered software to function properly your workstation must be continuously connected to the network and the CAE license servers.

Supports CAD releases by Unigraphics, Pro/ENGINEER, Autodesk Inventor, SolidEdge, SolidWorks
