[edit] Standard Installation

Step 1. Before you Install:

• Map a network drive to the CAE media server \\kamino.cae.wisc.edu\tethered. NOTE: You must install WiscVPN to connect to CAE media server from off of the campus network.
• Authorize your computer to use tethered software. Use your CAE username and password to gain access to CAE tethered licensing. Each authorization has a duration of 12 hours.

Step 2. Run Setup

• The installer can be downloaded from the CAE media server \\kamino.cae.wisc.edu\tethered. Navigate to the Minitab 15 folder and from there, open the Minitab v15 CD folder. Once here, double click "setup.exe"

Step 3. At the welcome screen select Next >.

Step 4. Accept the license agreement and select Next >.

Step 5. At the "Destination Folder" screen, select Next >.

Step 6. At the "Minitab Licence Manager..." screen fill in the Port@Machine: filed with the appropriate information. This is located in the tethered directory you mapped earlier in the Minitab 15 folder. A file named license notes.txt contains the necessary information. Once this information has been entered, select Next >.

Step 7. At the "Ready to Install the Program" screen, choose whether or not you would like a desktop shortcut and select Install.

Step 8. Once the installation has completed, select Finish.

Step 9. You may be prompted to restart your computer. If so, restart your computer before attempting to use MiniTab.
