[edit] Tethered Installation Steps

Step 1. Before you Install

• Map a network drive to the CAE media server \\kamino.cae.wisc.edu\tethered. NOTE: When off campus, you must install WiscVPN to connect to CAE media server.
• Authorize your computer to use tethered software. Use your CAE username and password to gain access to CAE tethered licensing. Each authorization has a duration of 12 hours.

Step 2. Start the installer

• The installation CD can be downloaded from our campus server \\kamino.cae.wisc.edu\tethered

Step 3. Choose the installation directory

Step 4. Configure Licensing. Select "Enter license information now.", Indicate that this is a "Network License", and Enter zorin.cae.wisc.edu as the license server.

Step 5. Restart your machine and start using Mathematica 6.0

If the installer throws up an error, copy the .tgz files and rename the copies to .tar.gz
