Computer-Aided Engineering Software
From CAE Software
CAE provides access to a large number of industrial engineering software packages to all the academic departments in the College of Engineering. Software on Windows, Sun Solaris/UNIX, and Linux operating systems are available for use by anyone with a CAE account. Not only does CAE provide Engineering software, we also provide Productivity, Internet, Programming, and many general Utility software packages. By providing CAE users with over 200 software titles, users have the ability and resources to compute productively as engineers.

Access to Software
Learn how to Add Applications to the Windows Start Menu on CAE Lab computers and the CAE Remote Desktop.
Access CAE software from outside the computing labs
All course software can be accessed from non-CAE lab machines. This is most easily done through a local installation of Tethered Software or run the software on the CAE Remote Desktop. For desktop computers on the college network running Windows XP, patched to the latest level, an alternative might be to run via the Novell Netware client. However, this is not recommended and strongly discouraged. There is no guarantee that the software will run properly on your computer when using the Novell Netware client.
