Preliminary instructions! Please feel free to validate and polish these instructions.
In general
  • Cadence\Windows\SPB157 is the directory I used from Kamino.
  • Install the first 3 CD worth of program.
  • Install the 256MByte ISR200612201235_SPB157_winnt_1of1.exe
  • Install the 4th zipped CD which is a set of sim libraries.
  • I installed everything.
Details
  • Run SPC157/SPB157_wint.BASE/CDROM1/Setup.exe
  • No need to install the Set Up Licensing Install Option, Go to installing of Install Products
    • License Manager Communcation window enter -- PortNumber: 1707 Host Name: fireball.cae.wisc.edu
    • Leave Control File Location blank.
    • Select Products: (all)
      • Cadence SiP
      • Design Entry & Librarian
      • PCB Design
      • PCB Routing
      • Package Design & Package SI
      • Analog Simulation
      • PCB SI
    • Working Directory has been set to C:\Cadence
    • Footprint Viewer Options:
      • PCB Editor footprint viewer
      • OrCAD Layout footprint viewer (X)
      • None
  • Install the 4 discs and upgrade file listed above.
  • It then runs on the workstation.
