[edit] Tethered Installation Steps

Step 1. Before you Install:

Map to the Kamino drive.
Authorize your computer to use tethered software. Use your CAE username and password to gain access to CAE tethered licensing. Each authorization has a duration of 12 hours.

Step 2. Start the Installer.

The installer can either be downloaded from our campus server \\kamino.cae.wisc.edu\tethered

Step 3. Choose the Product to Install. Choose click to install Autodesk Inventor 10

Step 4. Select License Type. Select Network License

Step 5. Enter User Information. Enter your name and University of Wisconsin-Madison

Step 6. Specify Installation Folder.

Step 7. Choose the Installation Type. Select Complete

Step 8. Choose Default Measurements.

Step 9. Enable Part Modification.

Step 10. You're done. Run Autodesk Inventor 10

Note: In order for tethered software to function properly your workstation must be continuously connected to the network and the CAE license servers.
